Finished Ishbel (#187)

Finally sunny enough to photograph my finished Ishbel shawl outside.

(187-07.05)

I’m such a tight little knitter it’s smaller than the full sized version should be according to the pattern, even though I used a larger needle — but I think it’s beautiful and so soft. And quite the most intricate thing I’ve ever knit.

There are a lot of airplane hours in that shawl, since I had to unravel two previous versions when I couldn’t quite get the centre line to stay straight — I know it went to California, and Winnipeg, and maybe untouched to Uganda and back, and Baja before it finally came to England a few times, with a detour through the Frankfurt airport.
